Landfills are getting full, ground water is becoming unusable, plants, animals, and communities around the globe are suffering. Today, we consume more products and generate more waste than any generation in human history; this coupled with Earth having the highest human population of all time make for an challenging scenario.  We know there are no quick fixes, but MAC is trying to do a little good where possible, and we need participants and volunteers to keep growing this program.
Using volunteers, local artists, and community groups MAC is looking to change the world a little bit at a time and hopefully make it a more thoughtful and beautiful place.  Triple Arrrts goes to schools and teaches classes through MAC’s ArtsReach as well as host classes at MAC where you can bring yourself, friends and family for a nominal fee and learn to create artwork from non-traditional materials.

Recycling
If it can be recycled locally or reused we make sure it happens with every item in our facility and have done so since 1997.

Green Donating
Donating money can be hard for many people but MAC gladly accepts your aluminum cans and old cellphones. These items are  responsibly recycled and the the profits are used to support our Triple Arrrts Program and facility upgrades.

Green Roof Plan
MAC’s neoclassical building is graced with the infrastructure of a fallout shelter (which it once was) and we want to capitalize on this strength by installing a green roof to reduce waste water runoff and decrease our energy consumption.

Eco-Arts Education
We have an education program that encourages landfill reduction, recycling and reuse through critical thinking and the creative process.

Energy Consumption
Since 2006, MAC has endeavored to reduce its energy usage as much as possible. We replaced all office lighting with retrofitted recycled track lighting that uses CFL bulbs. We started using a zone heating system to reduce natural gas usage and have several other programs in the works.

Become a Triple Arrrts Teacher
Triple Arrrts is an Arts Outreach program that challenges children, teens and adults to think differently about waste and turn it into art.

Donate your Aluminum Cans to us
Soda cans are the next best things to cash for MAC. Instead of paying a trash collection fee to take your pop cans, give them to us and we will give you a donation receipt!

Donate your old cell phones
Cellphones are filled with various precious and toxic materials.  Many can also be reused both locally and in developing nations. Also when you have MAC recycle your phones it also supports our programming.

Contribute to our Green Roof Fund
We need sponsors, matching donors, regular donors, volunteers, etc. In short we need your money, time, or energy to make this happen.

Become a corporate sponsor

Become a MACologist
When you volunteer, promote, or become a member of MAC and its MACology you become a MACologist plus you get a free shirt!

Some organization collect can tabs, others collect junk cars and pocket change. We take your soda pop cans and old mobile phones.  Why collect these items you ask? Well its a niche and we are filling it.  For over a decade MAC has accepted your aluminum with open arms and a smile.  This tradition continues today and if the donation weighs over 5 pounds we will give you a donation receipt upon request.
Used, damaged, and old mobile phones are a new addition to our donation program.  Many phones can be repaired and given to those in need as well as developing countries. Phones that are too old or badly damaged can be recycled since they contain a multitude of plastics and precious materials.  Not to mention tossing an old cell phone in the trash is poor etiquette.
The money MAC generates from your castoffs goes directly to our programming and facility upgrades.

As always, cold cash in any form is fantastic too. Cash, check, paypal, credit cards, wire transfer, Fine Art and realty are also viable methods of donation (asking never hurts).
