Monongalia Arts Center is home to much more than just the region's oldest and most respected independent community Visual Arts gallery. MAC also does much more than own and maintain a 15,000 sq ft. historic landmark.

Furthermore Monongalia Arts Center has a mandate to bring Arts and Arts Education to everyone regardless of economic status or any other personal characteristic. This translates to the most affordable classes and events in the region as well as coordinating multiple free services and donating skills, labor and materials to countless Arts-related endeavors.
Our impact is often felt but not directly seen. Much of MAC's work is done in community meetings, volunteering, and partnerships in every corner of the region. Whether we are bringing classical musicians and language teachers to school districts in need or coordinating the annual Arts on the River Festivals, MAC is committed to bringing Arts to everyone in the community.
