Bare Form 2009 Prospectus now available!
The beauty of the body has inspired artists from the dawn of history yet remains an inextricable part of the human experience. Our intimate familiarity with the human body bears the challenge to the artist….. transforming that which is known into an expression of emotion.
Eligibility:
All artists within 200 miles of Morgantown are eligible for the Bare Form 2009 exhibit. All forms of visual art will be considered, excluding video art. No reproductions will be accepted. Any work conceived as a multiple should be in an edition of no more than 12.

Exhibition Dates: November 6 – 25, 2009
Reception/Awards: Friday, November 6, 5:30 - 8:30 pm
Art pick-up: Monday, November 30
11:00 am - 7:00 pm
Guidelines/Conditions:
All art should be your depiction of the bare human form. No art submitted for exhibition should be deprecating toward the model/subject of the piece.
Each piece must be labeled with: title, medium, selling price or NFS, artist’s name, address, telephone number and email. The artist grants permission to the MAC to reproduce any accepted entries for the purpose of publicity.
An entry to this exhibit constitutes full agreement on the part of the artist to all conditions outlined in this prospectus. The MAC Gallery Committee has final authority to define an acceptable entry. The Monongalia Arts Center reserves the right to reject any art deemed inappropriate or that does not meet MAC criteria. MAC is not responsible for damages or theft of work displayed in the Gallery; therefore, it is suggested that you carry your own insurance.
Absolutely no early removal of artwork is permitted for any reason.
